[ She has half a mind to smack him for that laughter but refrains. Though she does idly wonder how bad a thwap with her prosthetic hand would hurt. Probably a lot and she keeps that in the back of her mind just in case it becomes necessary.

Avoiding your problems is so much easier though... For as long as she can keep running, anyway. Which, admittedly, isn't a very good strategy at all since even she knows she can't run forever.

Rose tries to put herself in Wade's shoes, thinks over all the messages he'd sent across that she'd neglected to answer. Of course she wouldn't enjoy it one bit. She'd probably have come to the same conclusion he had: that she didn't want to see him anymore. Which was anything but the truth; she wanted to see him more than ever but was just too afraid to deal with the consequences of her actions. Was too afraid that she'd want something more, something she wasn't sure he could give now or ever. ]

No. I wouldn't, and I'll. I'll talk to him, I just... I had fun, but I don't know. I didn't want to make it something it wasn't, I guess.

[ As for how many people she's ignored- ]

All of them. Even with Jesse, back in Haven... But we kind of all lived together so it wasn't as easy to avoid as now. [ Now she has an entire god damn planet of space and tons of people to help her forget her problems if only for a little while. ] That turned out alright though. it baffles him for a few moments, rendering him incapable of speech — his lips are too busy pursing tightly. more than likely for good reason. because the second he imagines them together, everything clicks, it all makes sense, that's why she was dodging their apartment block, that's why the shower wall was broken.

suddenly, matters of importance becoming small specks in a sea of how hilarious a revelation he's been slapped with, hiruma barks a loud laugh, jolting with it, feet leaving the floor to kick at the mattress. for the first time in a very long time, he drops back onto the bed and cackles wholeheartedly.]
