anon is stupid, no

OKAY SO. Having actually read the manga I think I finally have a foot to stand on when it comes to this, and even if I haven't studied his character super thoroughly like you have I know that it can help to have someone who's a little bit removed from the situation to offer their thoughts.

I talk about your Hiruma a lot to other people because of how great he is; before I'd read the manga I focused on how hyper-involved you managed to be with him. He's got his fingers in all the pies, which I now of course know is super ic and that would be why. I feel like you've had to adapt a lot of how he reacts to other people for the sake of having him in HH, specifically being able to bond and form friendships (or his own special definition of them) without the crutch of a team sport propelling growth there. In that respect, I think he's been completely fabulous. He doesn't turn woobie in an instant, thank GOD, but you can see how he softens a little bit around certain people and it's so great.

Him having his own gun shop is amazing?? This will never get old either, FFFF.

Lastly your voice for him is So. Good. It's so entertaining and I feel like I'm reading the manga every time I get one of your tags, just with a Hiruma that's grown up slightly and has even more verbal ammunition to work with.

This wasn't supposed to just be buttpats but WHOOPS, he's perfect, so that's your own fault.

I just wanted to say that I really liked how Creeping Dust and Hiruma have done their little verbal dance. Hopefully when I get off hiatus I can tag a bit more consistently and get some more time with him. I actually did read all of Eyeshield back in the day, and I love getting a bit of the subtle sides out of a Hiruma.
